New England’s only non-profit tournament to fund sustainable fishery projects and fisherman’s rights!
In memory of Captain Steven James (1960-2014)

The North Atlantic Monster Shark Tournament is a non-profit Shark Tournament focused on funding the education and science for sustainable fisheries management which will preserve the natural ecosystem on which all ocean life and future fishing generations can depend on. ALL of our profits are donated to sustainable fishing organizations and causes. Our tournament is more than just just fishing, it is fishing for a cause. Our staff at the weigh station is accompanied by students and scientists from The School for Marine Science and Technology as well as marine biologists from the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries. There they take samples, perform necropsies, and educate the public about the these beautiful pelagic species. Last year we had 40 boats entered and we had a banquet with over 200 people. Our world class fishing event, with a 30 year history of angling excellence, is July 13-16, with fishing days July 14th and 15th. You can get a great idea of what we are all about at www.sharksfundfishing.com, our Facebook page, or by searching the North Atlantic MONSTER Shark Tournament.

We’ve added Sunsation Boats to the family!

Friday, December 23rd, 2016

Atlantic Boats of Wareham, Massachusetts has added Sunsation Powerboats’ line of custom Center Console Extremes to their inventory of recreational and fishing craft. Atlantic Boats is a full service marine center and factory authorized dealer for Mercury, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda and Volvo Penta Power. John Cornish and his award winning crew provide sales, storage, transport and repair services to New England boaters.

“We’ve long supported the saltwater fishing market in this region with boats 26 foot and under,” states Atlantic boats owner, John Cornish. “The bigger offshore fishing boats are mostly saturated in this area with virtually every small dealer offering one brand or another.”

“We are centrally located to the Cape Cod Canal, Martha’s Vineyard, and Boston. We’ve recognized that a specific share of our customers were looking for a flexible use mid-sized center console; a boat that would allow them to easily cruise the area’s bays and inland waterways,as well as safely handle our offshore waters. Sunsation’s line of Center Console Extremes is the perfect boat for these customers. You have a superior built boat for fishing excursions and, at the same time, with its luxury appointments, a boat that you can drive to dinner at one of the hundreds of waterside restaurants found throughout the region. We will be exhibiting the new 2017 32CCX at the New England Boat Show in February; and in May we’ll feature the 2017 34CCX during our Demo Days event.”

“We’re excited about our new relationship with John and his team at Atlantic Boats”, states Sunsation Vice President, Joe Schaldenbrand. “We are currently building both a 32 and 34CCX for them and plan delivery of the first boat before the end of the year. They are an ultra modern facility with an outstanding following of satisfied customers. We look forward to being an integral part of Atlantic Boats.”
